How Do You Use the Agentic Consultant?
You use the Agentic Consultant by installing it on your WordPress website, activating your license, adding your OpenAI API key, and then teaching the agent about your products, services, pages, and support options. After that, the assistant can help visitors through chat, voice, product guidance, support answers, and safe website actions.
In other words, the Agentic Consultant turns your website into a smarter sales and support experience.
Step 1: Install the Agentic Consultant Plugin
First, download the Agentic Consultant plugin from your XoBytes account or product order.
Then, go to your WordPress dashboard and open:
Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
Next, upload the plugin ZIP file, install it, and activate it.
After activation, you will see a new Agentic Consultant menu inside your WordPress dashboard.
Step 2: Activate Your License
Next, open the Agentic Consultant dashboard and go to the license area.
Enter your license key and activate the product.
This step is important because the frontend assistant needs an active license before it can run properly on your website.
Step 3: Add Your OpenAI API Key
After your license is active, go to the plugin settings.
Then, add your OpenAI API key in the private API key field.
The key is stored server-side, so it is not placed into public frontend code. Because of that, your visitors can use the AI assistant without seeing your private API key.
You can also add the key through your WordPress configuration file if you prefer a developer setup.
Step 4: Configure the Agent
Next, customize the assistant so it fits your website.
You can set the agent name, greeting message, voice behavior, popup settings, follow-up message, support URL, and general system rules.
For example, you can name the assistant Xoie and make it greet visitors with a helpful message. You can also adjust how fast the popup appears and whether it should open only on a visitor’s first visit.
As a result, the assistant feels more natural and less annoying to users.
Step 5: Add Your Product Tree
After the basic settings are ready, add products to the Product Tree.
This teaches the Agentic Consultant what you sell. You can add product names, descriptions, links, categories, calls to action, and helpful context.
If you use WooCommerce, you can also pull product information from your store. Then, the agent can use public product details like titles, prices, descriptions, categories, tags, and product links.
Because of this, the assistant can recommend the right product when a visitor asks for help.
Step 6: Add Your Service Tree
Next, add your services to the Service Tree.
This is useful if your business sells services, custom work, consultations, software builds, support plans, or agency work.
For example, you can add services like website builds, custom AI agents, WordPress plugin development, Shopify app development, or support packages.
Then, when visitors ask what you offer, the Agentic Consultant can guide them toward the right service.
Step 7: Add Your Link Library
After that, add important pages to the Link Library.
This can include your shop page, support page, documentation, blog posts, pricing page, contact page, FAQ page, and product guides.
For example, you can add your support page here:
Then, when someone asks for support, the assistant can guide them to the correct page.
Step 8: Enable Voice Chat
The Agentic Consultant can also support voice chat.
First, the visitor clicks the microphone button and allows microphone access. After that, they can use wake phrases like “Hey Xoie” or say “Enable voice chat.”
Then, the visitor can ask questions out loud and receive spoken replies.
However, browsers usually require the visitor to click once before microphone access can start. After that first permission step, the voice experience becomes much smoother.
Step 9: Let Visitors Ask Questions
Once everything is set up, visitors can use the Agentic Consultant from the floating chat widget.
They can ask questions like:
“What product should I buy?”
“How does this service work?”
“Can you take me to support?”
“Can you show me the pricing page?”
“Can you help me find the right plugin?”
“Can you add this product to my cart?”
Then, the assistant can respond, recommend products, open useful pages, explain services, or guide the visitor to the next step.
Step 10: Use WooCommerce Cart Help
If WooCommerce is active, the Agentic Consultant can help with safe shopping actions.
For example, it can help visitors open the cart, go to checkout, or add a product to the cart when the user clearly asks.
However, it does not handle private payment details. Payments still happen through your normal WooCommerce checkout.
Because of that, the assistant can help users move forward without taking over sensitive checkout information.
Step 11: Test the Agent on Your Website
Finally, test the assistant like a real visitor.
Ask it about your products, services, support page, pricing, and checkout process. Also, test voice chat, navigation commands, and product recommendations.
If the answer is not strong enough, add more detail to the Product Tree, Service Tree, or Link Library.
The more helpful context you add, the better the Agentic Consultant becomes.
